License
Learn more about the Bricks Library licensing model. Have a question? Get in touch and we’ll help you out.
Standard License
Bricks Library grants you an ongoing, non-exclusive license to use it’s mobile-first Components.
The license grants permission to one individual (the Licensee) to access and use the mobile-first Components.
Compatible with Bricks Builder 2.1.4
You can:
- Use the Components to create unlimited End Products.
- Modify the Components to create derivative components. Those components are subject to this license.
- Use the Components to create unlimited End Products for unlimited Clients.
- Use the Components to create End Products where the End Product is sold to End Users.
- Use the Components to create End Products that are open source and freely available to End Users.
You cannot:
- Use the Components to create End Products that are designed to allow an End User to build their own End Products using the Components or derivatives of the Components.
- Re-distribute the Components or derivatives of the Components separately from an End Product, neither in code or as design assets.
- Share your access to the Components with any other individuals.
Example usage
Examples of usage allowed by the license:
- Creating a personal website by yourself
- Creating a website or web application for a client that will be owned by that client
- Creating a commercial SaaS application (like an invoicing app for example) where end users have to pay a fee to use the application
- Creating a commercial self-hosted web application that is sold to end users for a one-time fee
- Creating a web application where the primary purpose is clearly not to simply re-distribute the components (like a conference organization app that uses the components for its UI for example) that is free and open source, where the source code is publicly available
Examples of usage not allowed by the license:
- Creating a repository of your favorite Bricks Library components (or derivatives based on Bricks Library components) and publishing it publicly
- Creating a React or Vue version of Bricks Library and making it available either for sale or for free
- Create a Figma or Sketch UI kit based on the Bricks Library component designs
- Creating a “website builder” project where end users can build their own websites using components included with or derived from Bricks Library
- Creating a theme, template, or project starter kit using the components and making it available either for sale or for free
In simple terms, use Bricks Library for anything you like except for projects that compete with Bricks Library and would have a negative impact on our product sales.
Standard License Definitions
Licensee is the individual who has purchased a Standard License.
Components are the JSON source code snippets and design assets made available to the Licensee after purchasing a Bricks Library license.
End Product is any artifact produced that incorporates the Components or derivatives of the Components.
End User is a user of an End Product.
Client is an individual or entity receiving custom professional services directly from the Licensee, produced specifically for that individual or entity. Customers of software-as-a-service products are not considered clients for the purpose of this document.
Packages
Any upgrades will result in prorated charges, where applicable as long as the initial purchase was made within 6 months of the requested upgrade. We do not currently offer downgrades of any kind.
If a subscription to any of our packages is canceled, you will not be able to download any of the components available within that package after the subscription has ended. You will also stop receiving any support from Bricks Library.
Bricks Library Layouts that are purchased separately and not with a package, come with an individual 3-month support license. Additional support can be purchased separately.
Support can only be provided on live websites and staging websites where we can log in and see WordPress/Bricks Builder/Bricks Library setups and access posts/pages, etc.
Bricks Library Motion add-on requires motion.page plugin to work. The add-on does not include motion.page, this plugin must be purchased separately.
Bricks Library only supports its own, mobile-first Components, which means we will only diagnose any issues with our own Components. We do not diagnose any third-party products, that includes Bricks Builder.
Bricks Library Components will only work with the Bricks Library mobile-first breakpoints. These breakpoints can be found in your documentation, and on our YouTube channel.
We also reserve the right to change, modify, or remove any template we wish, at any time, without notice.
Upgrades can only be completed if your subscription is active.
Any offers or discounts will only be available to current customers if their current package was purchased 4 days prior to the offering being made available. Discounts are not available on upgrades.
Invoices for all purchases are available in your account or upon request.
All refund requests will require further information.
Remote Template access
Remote Templates is a service provided by Bricks Builder, and we are not liable for any issues caused by Remote Templates not working.
If you come across any issues we will try to help you resolve the issue, and even liaise with Bricks Builder to help find a suitable resolution. Issues may also be with your own hosting provider.
We provide the ‘copy and paste’ method as our primary access for all templates.
Bug report
Should you come across any bugs or concerns with our templates, please contact our support team with full details and Admin access to your project(s).
Enforcement
If you are found to be in violation of the license, access to your Bricks Library account will be terminated at our discretion.
Refund
The nature of digital products like Bricks Library templates presents a number of unique challenges. Once imported/downloaded, they can be copied/shared/saved, making it difficult to ensure return or non-use. For information about our refunds, please see our refund policy.
Liability
Bricks Library’s liability to you for costs, damages, or other losses arising from your use of the Components — including third-party claims against you — is limited to a refund of your license fee at our discretion. Bricks Library may not be held liable for any consequential damages related to your use of the Components.
You agree to the service of process at the e-mail address on your original order.
